Outdoor Brass - just don't!

Thankfully we did not do the original in 1995, but when it came to us in 2001 we insisted on replacing it with a durable gold plastic that engraves black. You'll see an example below under exterior signs. These days we use only weatherable plastics and the color combos are impressive.

If you are fortunate enough to have house staff that can polish a gold brass sign every few days, it will be beautiful - otherwise? Just don't.
