Alder And Walnut Award Plaques In 4 Sizes

Generally speaking, we are not crazy about lasering plaques - walnut is too dark for appropriate contrast and oak is awfully hard and generally has so much grain that the engraving looks odd. But these alder/walnut boards are lovely. As the laser burns the wood, the light tone of the alder has a high contrast so that the engraving nearly matches the walnut sides. We can laser engrave right into the wood (shown) or paint fill it.
